General Exercise Policies

File Naming Convention

All files should follow this format:
lastname_firstname_exercisename.extension

Example:
smith_jane_flag.ai or johnson_michael_typography.png

Figma Submission Guidelines

  • Exercise 3-8 each have a dedicated Figma file
  • Students post work in their assigned frames only
  • Include your name clearly as the title of the frame of your submissions
  • Follow the template format provided for each exercise

Late Submission Policy

  • Exercises submitted late will receive reduced credit
  • Contact professor at least 24 hours before due date if extension needed

Technical Requirements

  • All work must be original (no plagiarism)
  • Cite sources for found images or references
  • Maintain high resolution for digital submissions (300 PPI minimum for raster images)
  • Keep all native files (.ai, .indd) organized for potential revision!


Exercises focus on both technical skill development and conceptual understanding. Successful completion demonstrates engagement with course concepts, technical competency, and professional presentation standards.
